Episode 64 – In Conversation with Petal Miller

This episode is another ‘In Conversation’ with another great of British ballet.  Australian born, Petal Ashmole Winstanley was a soloist with Sadler’s Wells Royal Ballet, and this episode is about her life and career.

It’s an episode full of humour and laughter, as well as sadness and reflection.  The episode focuses on her dancing career, but also the loss of her three husbands.  Her stoicism comes across as she talks reflects on dealing with the grief and personal tragedy.

There is also an incredibly uplifting side to the episode.  Petal found her purpose again after her terrible losses, and whilst seeking therapy wrote her memoir.

“Get up, Dress up, Show up” is available now and in this episode she talks about the process of writing and cathartic way it helped her deal with the situation.

An episode a little out of the ordinary for us, but it’s so beautifully poignant and reflective, and it really sums up Petal to an absolute tea.
