Episode 54 – Advice, Tips and Tricks for New Ballet Pianists

This episode is in response to a previous one, and features the team collating some helpful tips and tricks for new professionals starting out in the industry, specifically new pianists.

Chris begins discussing the use of modern technology as a way of seeing how things are currently done, and how new pianists can use the internet to find repertoire.  Also, familiarising oneself with the language and culture of ballet, and to see how pianists choose music to marry with the exercise perfectly.

The team are all in agreement that learning the language of ballet is important to be able to play for class.  Things like learning the names of steps, the variations in ballets, the structure of class are all essential to be able to work quicker and more efficiently.

This episode is jam packed, and hopefully everyone can learn something from it.
